NEWS RELEASE

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Tim Hutchison, Knox County Sheriff, are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the person who robbed a First Tennessee Bank today.

The First Tennessee Bank located at 11685 Park Side Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee, was the victim of a bank robbery today. Witnesses report that at approximately 5:30 this evening, two white males entered the bank. The first was 40-50 years old, approximately 5'6" tall, with short dark hair and a few days' growth of beard. He was wearing a green knit cap with letters on the front, a dark jacket, black gloves, and thick tan-colored, square-framed, clear plastic glasses. He was noticed to appear calm and soft-spoken. The second man, in his early twenties, was wearing mint green fleece mittens, a mint green fleece hooded sweatshirt, with a tan-colored knit cap. He was approximately 5'7" with a very thin build. The first man handed a blue bank bag to a teller inside of which there was a note announcing the robbery and demanding money. No weapon was displayed. The men left the bank with an undetermined amount of money. They were last seen going on foot toward the Campbell Station side of the bank.

Anyone having any information concerning this robbery should call the FBI at (865) 544-0751 or the Knox County Sheriff's Department at (865) 215-2243.

The public is cautioned not to approach these individuals, but to immediately notify law enforcement of their whereabouts.
