NEWS RELEASE


The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Blount County Sheriff James Berrong announce that the Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T) located at 10232 Chapman Highway, Seymour, Tennessee was robbed today at approximately 10:53 a.m. by two male suspects.

The first robber entered the bank and presented a teller with a note. Witnesses described him as a white male in his thirties, approximately 6' tall, weighing 180 to 220 pounds with unkempt brownish/red facial hair. He was wearing a dark-colored toboggan a dark-colored jacket and blue jeans.

This robber then exited the bank with an undetermined amount of money and climbed into a green Geo Tracker with a spare tire on the hatch and no license plate. The vehicle was driven by a slender white male with long bleached blond hair.
