NEWS RELEASE R. Joe Clark, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and John C. Eckenrode, SAC of the Philadelphia Division of the FBI, announced the arrest today of Richard Allen Hicks for possession and distribution of Child Pornography.

The arrest was based on an arrest warrant issued on February 9, 2006, in the Middle District of Pennsylvania,at Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Hicks, a fifty-one year old resident of Knoxville,was arrested at his place of employment on Sherrill Boulevard in Knoxville, Tennessee. The arrest was conducted by members of Knoxville's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which includes Special Agents of the FBI and officers of the Knoxville Police Department.

Hicks will be afforded an initial appearance before a United States Magistrate at Knoxville this afternoon.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
