NEWS RELEASE


R. Joe Clark, Special Agent in Charge of the Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced that at approximately 2:00 a.m. this morning, Special Agents and Task Force Officers of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and officers of the Knoxville Police Department located and arrested Art Dewarren Foster, age 27, and Jamar Antron Kennedy, age 26, both of Spartanburg, South Carolina, without incident on E. Magnolia Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee.

Foster and Kennedy were both federal fugitives wanted on Criminal Complaints issued by the United States District Court, District Of South Carolina, Spartanburg Division, charging them with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute.

Foster and Kennedy will appear before a Federal Magistrate later today for their initial appearances and identity hearings in United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in Knoxville.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
