FBI and KCSO search for a female bank:

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Deputy Tom Spangler of the Knox County Sheriff's Office (KCSO), are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the woman who robbed a Knoxville bank today.

At 10:54 this morning, a lone woman entered the First Tennessee Bank at 11685 Parkside Drive. She presented a note which threatened violence and demanded money to a teller. After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the robber left the bank on foot. Witnesses described the robber as a white female in her late 20s or early 30s. She had long dirty-blonde hair pulled up and back in a ponytail. She was wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt over a red T-shirt, blue jeans, and sunglasses. She was approximately 5'5" tall, weighing between 130 and 160 pounds. She was last seen running west toward Campbell Station Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 865/544-0751, or the KCSO at 865/215-2243. The public is reminded not to approach the individual, but to contact law enforcement.
