NEWS RELEASE

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Jimmy "J.J." Jones, Knox County Sheriff, request the public's assistance in identifying the men who robbed the Citizens Bank of Blount County at 11216 Kingston Pike this afternoon.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., two black males entered the bank. One robber pointed a black revolver at a teller and demanded money. He was described as 5'9" tall, weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a black "hoodie" and a red ski mask. The other was 5'10" - 5'11" weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black "hoodie" with a black ski mask. No firearm was directly observed in his hand, but his posture and manner made witnesses believe he was armed. After taking an undetermined amount of money, the robbers ran behind the adjacent Kroger's.

Anyone with information about these men is asked to call the FBI at 865/544-0751, or the Knox County Sheriff's Office at 865/215-2243. The public is requested not to approach these individuals, but to call law enforcement. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
