NEWS RELEASE The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced the arrest of David Purdy Bruce at his place of employment in Huntsville, Tennessee. Bruce, age 71 of Oneida, Tennessee was arrested without incident by Special Agents of the FBI today.  The arrest was based on a warrant pursuant to an indictment out of the District of South Carolina, Anderson Division.  Bruce was indicted on February 13, 2007, for Wire Fraud, a violation of Title 18 United States Code sections 1343 and 2. Bruce was afforded an Initial Appearance in Knoxville in front of United States Magistrate Judge H. Bruce Guyton.  He was released on his own recognizance. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
