NEWS RELEASE

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and John Lowry, Chief of Police of the Johnson City Police Department, announce the arrest today of a federal fugitive in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Ronald Logan, also known as Ronald Eugene Logan, age 35 of Johnson City, was arrested this afternoon without incident at an apartment complex off N. Roan by Special Agents of the FBI's Johnson City Resident Agency and units of the Johnson City Police Department.  Logan was charged in a federal warrant issued by the Eastern District of Virginia on June 13, 2007, with Conspiracy to Possess Narcotics with Intent to Distribute, a violation of Title 21, United States Code sections 841 and 846.  Logan was transported to the Washington County Jail and will be afforded an initial appearance tomorrow morning in Greeneville, Tennessee.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
