NEWS RELEASE


The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Knoxville Chief of Police Sterling P. Owen IV, announce the arrest last night of Louie Edwin Willis. Willis, a forty-seven year old white male from Michigan, was wanted on a federal Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution charge out of Detroit, Michigan. The underlying offense was Sexual Assault of a Minor.

Willis was arrested at the American Best Value Inn at 3207 E. Magnolia Avenue without incident by Special Agents of the FBI and officers of the Knoxville Police Department.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
