FBI, KPD, and KCSO arrest Travis W. Carver for robbery of SunTrust yesterday.

 

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Knoxville Police Department (KPD), and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) announce the arrest last night of a man charged with yesterday’s robbery of the SunTrust Bank located inside the Wal-Mart at 8445 Walbrook Drive in Knoxville.

Travis Wayne Carver, age 25, was arrested without incident at his residence on Teaberry Drive at just past 11:00 p.m. last night. The KCSO, the KPD, and the FBI were involved in the arrest of Carver. The arrest was made pursuant to an authorized federal criminal complaint charging Carver with one count of Bank Robbery. Carver will be afforded an initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge H. Bruce Guyton at 10:30 this morning.

Investigators believe the SunTrust Bank robber also robbed the Citizens National Bank on December 10 th and 17 th of 2007, the BB&T on Northshore Drive on November 9 th, the SunTrust located inside the Kroger on Middlebrook Pike at Cedar Lane on December 27 th, and the Citizens National Bank located inside the Kroger store at 9501 South Northshore Drive.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
