Seeking Information on Woman Who Robbed Regions Bank Branch in Alcoa

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Ken Burge of the Alcoa Police Department (APD) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman who robbed an Alcoa bank today.

At approximately 10:30 this morning, a woman entered the Regions Bank located at 216 S. Calderwood in Alcoa, displayed a weapon and demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a white female with blonde hair, late 40s to early 50s, heavy build, between 5’5” and 5’6” tall. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a blue denim shirt, a sun-visor, and sunglasses. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect left the scene in a vehicle witnesses described as a small, red sport utility vehicle.

A reward is being offered for any information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 865-544-0751 or the APD at 865-981-4111. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of FBI, KPD, and KCSO personnel) and the Alcoa Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
