FBI, KPD, and KCSO, as Part of the Safe Streets Task Force,
Arrest a Man on Attempted Bank Robbery Charges

Christopher Levreault, age 30, of Louisville, Tennessee, was arrested by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF) and detectives from KCSO and KPD, pursuant to an investigation by the SSTF and detectives from the Blount County Sheriff's Office and Maryville Police Department.

The arrest occurred without incident outside the Suntrust Bank located inside the Kroger at 4918 Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Levreault is facing possible federal charges by the United States Attorney's Office of attempted bank robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.

Levreault was taken to the Knoxville Field Office of the FBI for further questioning and will be transported to the Blount County Detention Facility where he will be held based on existing warrants in Blount County.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
